One of the arguments for and against this practice are plentiful with one side saying ?it is tieing the education establishments up with beurocratic red tape? the other stating ?the levels of education establishments is increasing because of them, and allowing the parents to make an informed decision?.
It doesn?t matter what your angle is, parents are discovering themselves in the position that they can find out which educational establishments are offering the best education in their area. If your child has special needs, requiring for example support with dyslexia or attention deficit disorder the Ofsted reports allow you to view which educational establishments in the area might provide best for your family.
Having looked at the ofsted reports you could find that the educational establishments in your catchment area are not for you. As an alternative you could consider sending your child to a boarding school where your child could have smaller class sizes and a higher standard of education, many boarding schools offering scholarships or bursaries.
